In April and May 2001 he went steadily downhill culminating in a week which thankfully he doesn't remember, but one Mum I do all too well. He forgot who we were, becoming completely uncontrollable, the tumour pressing against his nerves. We phoned the doctor and took him to the hospital, everybody at a loss what to do. In desperation I searched the Internet for anything. The hospital had already told us they were unable to give him any more cheamotherapy and it was basically a case of nature taking its course.

So as I trawled the Internet for cures, many of which cost many thousands of pounds, but an amount you are willing to pay in your desperation I chanced across a herbal remedy for Cancer called essiac. Once again there were many places charging large sums for the product, but I found sites, detailing how to make it. This seemed well worth the effort and I went about sourcing the herbs and 36 hours later had done the 14 hours of preparation it takes to brew and my Dad was drinking it.

It's all too easy to sound stereo-typical;, but what we saw over the following couple of days was completely amazing. Dad started to come back to being himself again, vaguely realising weird things had been happening, but the past week really being a blur in his mind.

Now two months on, and having drunk 6 ounces of the tea a day he has had two scans showing the tumour has shrunk. His face and eye (which had been affected badly) are returning to normal and he is beginning to feel like himself again, capable of doing jobs around the house, cooking food (a passion of his) and visit his friends.

I am not saying essiac Tea will cure Cancer, because I have no scientific proof of this. There are hundreds of documented case studies which talk of similar experiences, and even some scientific data detailing how the herbs may work to cure cancer. However, I know my Dad was receiving no other treatment at the time, and had seen himself getting worse and worse until drinking this Tea. Since then things have been put in reverse and have got my Dad back.

I am a web designer, and I wanted to create somewhere on the net where I could sing the virtues of essiac Tea. The original recipe for the tea was devised by Canadian Indians, but it is a woman by the name of Caisse (essiac in reverse) who pioneered using it as a cancer treatment in Canada during the 1930's until her death in the late 1980's. One thing that she stipulated was the "Tea" should be available to the masses. In my searches for the Tea I found many companies selling the "Tea" for rip off prices, which in my mind is exploiting people when they are at their most vulnerable (I know from the feelings I had when looking around). For this reason I have published all the details of how to make the Tea on this site, along with the best places I have found to get the raw ingredients from.

We are also selling ready made "Tea" direct from the website, at a price which is representative of the cost of making it, just covering the costs of the ingredients and bottling. Every bottle of Tea is hand made, and the ingredients measured excactly just like the original recipe stipulates, unlike some of these big companies making essiac.

Over the last few months I have realised just how powerful natural remedies can be, and have expanded the site to include info on other natural remedies, which I will gradually expand.

The primary aim of this site is not to make money, but to tell as many people as possible about essiac Tea and how it has helped me and my family and also to be a useful source of reference for other herbal remedies. However to help make ends meet we are selling homemade essiac Tea direct from the website. The tea is made by my dad (Graham) and we keep the price as low as possible charging a price that pays for the ingredients, sterilising solutions, electricity time time taken to make the tea.

In the UK, big manufacturers of homeopathic medicines such as Nelsons are not allowed to go into detail about how their products work. As we have an online reference library built into this site, we allow manufacturers to link to this Free of Charge. However we can customise the output their site links to, in order to help maintain their Brand Identity and not confuse visitors to their site. For this we do make a charge and helps pay for the website. We must thank A.Nelson & Co. whose brands Nelsons, Bach, and NelsonandRussell have supported us immensely.
